Freelancer Graphic Designer and Cartoonist, lives and works in Ourinhos/SP - Brasil
Born: April 19th 1963 in Santa Cruz do Rio Pardo/SP - Brasil
He started to publish his works in 1981 at Debate, a newspaper of the region of Ourinhos city. Later, he moved for Sao Paulo to work in advertising agency and graphic design. Jesse returned for the Debate Newspaper in 2002 to do political cartoons (www.debate.com.br).
Stimulated by the work in the newspaper, and for the facilities of contact for the Internet, he began to participate of festivals of cartoons in 2003. From that time, he gained some prizes and the opportunity for doing an individual exhibition in Kragujevac and Belgrade, in the Serbia, with the antiwar theme.
Jesse does many experimentations with techniques and styles, though it finds the very practical digital ways, likes using more paints gouache, watercolour and nankim of what the digital technique. His preference is to do cartoons with universal subjects but also he likes portraits, strips and political cartoons.
Jesse has had cartoons, portraits and comic strips published in catalogues of humor exhibitions in Brazil, Turkey, Italy, Iran, Portugal, România, Syria and Serbia.
